Today Al Gore released Our Choice, the much anticipated follow-up to his New York Times bestselling book An Inconvenient Truth, in which he laid out the case that climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. In Our Choice, Gore gives us the tools we need to solve the problem.

I was thrilled to be asked to sculpt the earths for the front cover and back of the Young Readers Edition of Our Choice! It was an interesting assignment for me because it didn’t involve sculpting characters, mini-sets, environments or likenesses. My job was to accurately depict an earth that has been ravaged by the effects of global warming for the front cover and then to render our earth as we know it today, with its land mass and beautiful rich colors, for the back cover. Thank you so much to the wonderful people at Melcher Media and to Al Gore!
