On October 14th, Cat Footwear held a kick-ass launch party for their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection at their new Pop-Up location in midtown, Manhattan. The event celebrated the return of the brand’s original “Colorado” boot from 1990, which is available again for the first time in the U.S. this Fall season. In keeping with this theme, Cat Footwear hand selected 5 New York City-based artists and challenged them with using the Colorado boot as their blank canvas. It was an absolute honor to be one of the chosen artists and to have such a fun & fabulous assignment to work on!!! Below are my “behind-the-scenes” pics of the making of these boots… hope you enjoy! (the professional shots are by Shoot Me Peter) And check out the other artists: Ivan Orama, James Gulliver Hancock, Amanda Dolan and Misha Tyutyunik, who were SO awesome and made really gorgeous pieces!
Thank you CAT Footwear & AMP3PR! and thanks to one of my oldest and bestest friends, Erin Duggan Kramer, for nominating me for this project! xo
