Description

Last Friday was the opening of EARTH: Fragile Planet, an exhibition at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in New York. The exhibit showcases 120 of the world’s most accomplished illustrators, giving them a forum to set forth their personal views about the state of the world and the environment. Artists include Julie Bell, Guy Billout, Steve Brodner, Chris Buzelli, Kinuko Y. Craft, Vincent Di Fate, Jody Hewgill, Sterling Hundley, Anita Kunz, Tim O’Brien, Donato Giancola, Ralph Steadman, and many more. I am so happy to be included in this powerful and meaningful show and amongst such legendary artists! One of my favourite artists, Eric Lewis, and I were asked to make our pieces for the EARTH exhibit using supplies we found at Materials for the Arts. Brandon Kieffer filmed and edited our adventure! Watch it below or on youtube.

Thank you for the video Brandon! Thank you to Anelle Miller, Tara Jacoby, Kate Feirtag and all the great people at the Society. Thank you to Greg Manchess and Jack Unruh for curating such an amazing exhibit.

Here is my final piece for the EARTH show…
